Gongkar La Lake Excursion

One can choose this off-beat destination and bump along 80 km of raw Himalayan off-road through Jung then Mago - Chuna and upon finally reaching can stand at 15,000+ ft beside a lake so untouched, that it feels like nobody's ever been here before. This is a pure off-road journey so not at all recommended for old age people or if someone with health issues. Since the area lies close to the Indo-Tibet border, ILP and a special border-area clearance is mandatory and must be arranged in advance through a registered operator.
