Shangti Valley\'s sheep farm, Sela Pass at 13,700 ft, a mountain crossing into Shergaon\'s apple orchards, and a Bhutan walk on the way home. The most complete version of West Kameng.
Day 2 takes you from Shangti Valley up to Sela Pass. Snow almost year-round, a frozen lake that mirrors the sky, and the kind of silence that only exists above the treeline. The drive from Shangti to the pass is the most dramatic road on this entire circuit.
Day 3 crosses another pass, from Shangti into Shergaon\'s ridge farmland. The landscape shifts completely — from wide mountain valleys to terraced orchards and pine-clad ridges. This crossing alone is worth the extra day.
Day 4 ends at the tri-junction of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan. A hanging bridge, a local Bhutanese market, and the headwaters of the Brahmaputra. Few itineraries in Northeast India include this — and it is the perfect final stop before the drive home.

Both are 4-day tours at identical prices. 4DSSRT does the Phudung River Trek on Day 2 and includes a trek guide. 4DSSSP does Sela Pass (13,700 ft) on Day 2 instead — a high-altitude drive excursion rather than a river walk. Day 3 and Day 4 are identical across both tours. Choose based on preference: river or high altitude.
Sela Pass at 13,700 ft (4,175 m) is significant altitude. We recommend consulting your physician if you have any cardiac, respiratory or blood pressure conditions. The ascent is gradual by road so acclimatisation is natural. Most healthy adults handle it well with proper hydration. We carry a basic first-aid kit throughout.
Generally yes, but it can be temporarily closed due to heavy snowfall in December–February. We monitor road conditions and inform you of any changes. Snow chains may be required in winter — these are arranged by us. The best months are March–June and September–November.
Yes — Bhairabkund is the tri-junction of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan. Indian nationals can briefly cross into Bhutan for a local market visit and the hanging bridge walk without a visa. Foreign nationals should check current crossing rules with us before booking.
Breakfast is included for all 3 mornings. Lunch and dinner are not included. Budget approximately ₹300–500 per person per day. Your guide will recommend the best local options along the route.
