Most Tawang tours spend one or two nights in Tawang. This one gives you three — with Days 4 and 5 fully dedicated to the town and its surrounds. Bumla Pass on one day, the Monastery and market on the next. No rushing. No choosing.
Bumla Pass — 15,200 ft on the Indo-China border
Day 4 is dedicated to the high-altitude excursion: PT Tso Lake, Bumla Pass at the Indo-China border, Madhuri Lake, and the Tawang War Memorial in the evening. The Bumla Pass permit — which most tours don’t include — is part of this package.
Mago & Chuna Valley — where very few tours go
Day 3 takes you into the most remote part of this circuit — Mago and the Chuna Valley near the Tibetan border. The Jung Waterfalls on the return. This is what separates 7TM from the standard Tawang circuit.

Your questions, answered.
Do I need an Inner Line Permit (ILP)?
Yes — Arunachal Pradesh requires an ILP for all non-residents. For Tawang, a Protected Area Permit (PAP) is also required. Bumla Pass requires an additional Border Area Permit. We arrange all three permits on your behalf. Share your Aadhaar Card or Passport details at least 10 days before departure. All permit fees are included in the package price.
What is the difference between Deluxe and Premium stays?
Deluxe stay: well-rated guesthouses and mid-category hotels at each stop — clean, comfortable and good value. Premium stay: the best available property at each location — higher-category hotels with better amenities, views and service. The itinerary, vehicle, and all inclusions are identical. Only accommodation quality differs.
How does 7TM differ from 6TM (the 6-day version)?
7TM has one extra day over 6TM. Tawang sightseeing is split across Days 4 and 5 instead of one day — Day 4 is fully dedicated to Bumla Pass and the high-altitude excursion, and Day 5 is a relaxed day for the Tawang Monastery, Giant Buddha, museum and market. You spend 3 nights in Tawang instead of 2. All other stops are identical.
What is Bumla Pass?
Bumla Pass at 15,200 ft is on the actual Indo-China border in Tawang district. It requires a special Border Area Permit — included in this tour. Very few commercial itineraries include Bumla. In 7TM, Day 4 is fully dedicated to this excursion — giving it the time it deserves.
What is the Gongkar La add-on?
Gongkar La is a high-altitude lake available as an optional add-on for Rs. 3,000 per vehicle on Day 3 alongside the Mago excursion. Not included in the base price. Mention it when booking.
What’s not included — lunch, dinner and GST?
Breakfast is included for all 6 mornings. Lunch and dinner are not included. Budget Rs. 400–600 per person per day. All prices exclude 5% GST which will be added to your final invoice.
What should I pack for 7 days to Tawang?
Pack heavy for high altitude. Thermal underlayers, down or heavy fleece jacket, windproof outer layer, gloves, wool socks and warm hat. Bumla Pass at 15,200 ft is extremely cold. Waterproof jacket throughout all 7 days. Good grip shoes. Sunscreen and lip balm. Carry a rucksack or mid-size trolley across 6 nights.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel 30 or more days before the tour start date, you will receive a 50% refund of the paid amount. If you cancel within 30 days, no refund will be given. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for this tour.
